Bipasha Basu reveals ‘quirky’ side with nine looks in new film Bipasha Basu in her many avatars  Remember, if it’s Bips in a new avatar... you saw it in BT first. Recently, she sprang out of our front page in a bikini, revealing toned arms and legs, a taut belly, making male readers from Cuffe to Kalyan spill their morning cuppa in delightful surprise. And today, the Bong beauty appears in six of her nine looks from Sanjay Gupta’s new film releasing next month. Yes, we said nine... but are only giving you six. Go complain, if you feel short changed! The four pictures of the sexy actress that we are holding back, ooh la la, they are of characters in the film that must have given the Censors sleepless nights. As to what this is all about, Bips plays only one role in this film that ought to have been out long ago, but that role has nine variations based on what the hero (newcomer Maradona) is imagining at a given moment. Sounds confusing? Yes it is, God bless the versatile Sanjay Gupta! “It’s fairly simple, the characters I play reflect the mood of the guy who imagines me,” explains Bips, “If he’s feeling vulnerable, then I’ve been given a soft look. If he’s agitated, then I’m made to look harsh, and so on...” Bips being Bips, a feisty Bong and all that, she naturally got involved with Rocky S in styling the characters with their different get-ups. Fortunately director Sudipto Chattopadhyay was most accommodating. “Creating these looks brought out my quirky self,” says Bips. Which is a word described in urban dictionaries as something that is strange, not normal, but cool! And often used by narcissistic scenesters when they describe their oh-sounique selves in attempts to sound like interesting people. Tuttut, how unconventional is that, now, Bips?

Celeb Diary: Bipasha Basu 16-03-2010
4.30 am:Woke up. Can't miss the flight. said my byes. Feeling terrible, I have to travel while they sleep.
6.30 am:Flight delayed... enjoyed a cup of cafe latte and girly banter with my team. 8.30 am:After several delays, we finally take off. Feel like a zombie. Desperately need to sleep.  The big tryout: Fitting in at the fittings 10 am:Reached Goa. I have to do a reading with Rohan as I land, for my new film Dum Maro Dum. So exhausted... don't know how! 11am:Checked in. Love Taj Village. Time to start work... 12 noon:Met my co-star Rana. Need to know him before we start shooting tomorrow... to be comfortable. Very cool guy! 2 pm:Had lunch... Goan pomfret curry. Super! Need to nap! 5 pm:Rushing to Gym. 6.30 pm:Fittings, fittings, fittings.... uhhhhh. Tiring! 8 pm:Nailed both the looks in the film. 9 pm:light dinner and off to bed. Early call time. First day of shoot tomorrow. Am excited and nervous. Wish me luck! Good Night! :-
