Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was not titled as it is now. When producer-director Karan Johar announced it, he along with creative team zeroed it down to simply Ae Dil. The extention 'Hai Mushkil' came when all the actors and team listened to the title track.

According to a report in a leading daily, KJo always wanted to call it Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, but his creative team was not in for it as the word 'mushkil' has negative connotations. Karan had disagreed to it as he felt that the film's theme is about complications in love. But he went with Ae Dil as everyone chose it to be the title of the film.

The change happened when Pritam recorded the title track. The lyrics are : Tu Safar Mera, hain tu hi meri mannzil... tere bina guzaara...ae dil hai mushkil. And then it was decided that the final title would be Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Directed by Karan Johar, the film will hit the screens on Diwali this year.
