Akshay Kumar's Boss recorded an average 5 day weekend with collections coming around 44 crores. The number is less than what was expected. Even though the film had the advantage of releasing on a national holiday and collected around 14 crores on the opening day, the collections went down the hill over the weekend. The film's music became popular but the content of the film was a major letdown. This is the fourth Akshay Kumar film getting a poor response from the audience.
