لديبيكا، وكان كوكتيل مشروعا خاصا جدا منذ البداية. ما لا يعرف كثير من غير أن ديبيكا كان أول شخص امتياز علي، والكاتب والمخرج من كوكتيل لها في الحب آج كال، في حين كان يعتقد من كتابة الفيلم.

عرضت امتياز ديبيكا كلا الأدوار، فيرونيكا وميرا وطلب منها أن تختار لكنه كان حريصا جدا على ديبيكا لعب شخصية فيرونيكا وميرا ليس كما كان يشعر حرف ميرا في كوكتيل كان قريبا جدا من ميرا من حب اج كال

وحتى عندما هومي انضموا للمشروع في منصب المدير، في ضوء ديبيكا خيار لتحديد أي من حرفين. فهم ديبيكا لماذا كل امتياز وهومي كانت حريصة على لعب لها من جانب فيرونيكا في الفيلم كما فيرونيكا هو شخصية مختلفة جدا وجريئة وهذا شيء لم يسبق له اللعب ديبيكا قبل.

أردنا امتياز علي ويوضح، "شعرت فقط ديبيكا يمكن أن ينصف فيرونيكا. بينما دينيش (منتج)، هومي (مدير)، ونفسي قد أعطاها اختيار كل من الشخصيات، منها أن مواجهة التحدي المتمثل في اللعب فيرونيكا وديبيكا اختار مواجهة هذا التحدي من خلال اللعب وأخيرا دور فيرونيكا في الفيلم "



Deepika was offered both Veronica and Meera's role in Cocktail



Deepika Padukone has stunned everyone with her hot avatar in the promos of her upcoming film Cocktail. Her entry in the promo is surely drawing a lot of whistles.

For Deepika, Cocktail has been a very special project right from the beginning. What many don't know is that Deepika was the first person Imtiaz Ali, writer of Cocktail and her director in Love Aaj Kal, had thought of while writing the film.

Imtiaz offered Deepika both the roles, Veronica and Meera and asked her to chose but he was very keen on Deepika playing the character of Veronica and not Meera as he felt Meera's character in Cocktail was very close to the Meera of Love Aaj Kal.

Even when Homi Adajania joined the project as the director, Deepika was given a choice to select either of the two characters. Deepika understood why both Imtiaz and Homi were keen on her playing the part of Veronica in the film as Veronica is a very different and bold character and something that Deepika has never played before.

Imtiaz Ali explains, "I felt only Deepika Padukone could do justice to Veronica. While Dinesh (producer), Homi (director) and myself had given her a choice of both characters, we wanted her to take up the challenge of playing Veronica and Deepika chose to take up this challenge by finally playing the role of Veronica in the film."
