For the Desi Boyz actors, Wednesday was just another day as they were busy promoting their film in Pune. But things took a nasty turn when actor John Abraham got into a bit of a brawl with a man while he was leaving the event with his team.
Though news reports suggest that John pushed the fan
a couple of times, the actor claims otherwise. Apparently, while he was exiting the venue, he spotted the guy manhandling a woman, which is when he stepped in to help her out.
“It happened right in front of me. So, what am I supposed to do, stand and watch? I’m not going to stay quiet. I just went all out to protect that woman. And the media report has made it look like I manhandled a fan. I will never do such a thing,” he says, making his intention clear.
“I am a normal law-abiding person. I have never lost my cool. But if you ask me whether I would do the same thing in a similar situation where a woman is being manhandled again, my answer would be yes.”
The Force actor insists he has zero tolerance towards women being ill-treated. “Was I supposed to request the guy not to do it? I don’t think that would have worked. You need to use a little bit of force to separate a guy who is aggressive, pulling a woman’s hair and manhandling her violently. Otherwise, why would John Abraham get into such a fight?”
John, whose Desi Boyz has hit theatres apparently scared the guy: “He saw me and looked terrified.” The actor has just wrapped up a schedule of Race 2.
