The film is stated to release on August 17, 2012. Its shooting is expected to start in January 2012. Shahid Kapoor will play the role of Chota Rajan and Akshay Kumar will play the role of Dawood Ibrahim in the movie. The film will now move on from its predecessor and will focus on the gang wars between Chota Rajan and Dawood Ibrahim, talking about why they became arch rivals.
