"Shootout At Wadala is based on the 70s and 80s. Besides this is more like a saga rather than just one shootout." John Abraham will be playing the role of dreaded gangster Manya Surve while Anil Kapoor will be essaying the role of ACP Isaque Bagwan, Mumbai's first encounter specialist. Besides Anil and John, there is also speculation that Vidya Balan has been approached for an important role and the actress is likely to give her nod. Shootout At Wadala goes on floors early next year. Crime journalist S Hussain Zaidi has written the script for the film. The film has a top notch technical crew with the likes of Allan Amin, Resul Pookutty, Milap Zaveri and Sabu Cyril heading the action, sound, dialogues and art direction departments respectively.
