Beend Banoongaa Ghodi Chadhunga is the story of a young couple and their unique journey together. The show is set in Jaipur, both the boy and the girl are fromconservative Marwadi families.

Sarika, a 18 year old, wants to become a Dr… Jai is very happy sitting on the counter of his father’s Masala Business with no aim and ambition.
Sarika is a girl with traditional values at heart, wants to strike a balance between home and her dreams. She believes that she would make a great home-maker as well as a doctor.
Under family pressure Sarika is forced to marry Jai just when her medical entrance exam results are out. Sarika feels that marriage would be the biggest hindrance in her path of becoming a dr. However as the marriage takes place and Sarika comes in Jai’s house, he becomes the biggest supporter of her dreams.
As we see the journey of this married girl going to college everyday, there is a conflict at home as it’s a conservative Marwari family and a daughter in law going to college is not their way of life. The one person who stands with her all through is her husband Jai.

Jai, a high school dropout himself, starts respecting education only after meeting Sarika…realizes the meaning of ambition and focus in life through Sarika. And in Jai, Sarika finds the man who surely loves her most in the world and would do anything for her.

Set against a backdrop of a conservative Marwari family with staunch beliefs and rigid norms, BBGC is a tale of how Jai would help Sarika live her dreams in the midst of family protests.

Jai is the hero of the show, the youngest son of the family. Jai being the youngest was never asked the question of what he would like to do, everybody said chhota hai, yeh kyon apna kuchh karega aur agar isne bhi apna kuchh shuru kiya to baapuji ka business kaun dekhega. So it was decided that Jai would look after the family business of masalas. Since Jai is a lafanga and did not have an idea of what he wants to do he was quiet ok joining his father’s business. He is a boy with no focus in life, just that the girl he fell in love and married was focus personified… Jai is Gopal’s favourite child and he knows it too well… and every time he is stuck he knows his father is the one who will bail him out. Santosh has always wanted Jai to be responsible but Jai never did so and he eventually becomes responsible when Sarika comes in his life but for a cause which Santosh doesn’t approve - Sarika’s education. Jai is not educated or classy but doesn’t shy away from girls, he is very much like Bittu Sharma of Band Baja Baraat... He and Guttan spend a lot of time in their favorite katchori shop outside the city’s girls college.. Jai keeps 16 somvar vrats to get his ideal dream girl and when he sees Sarika this smart outspoken educated girl, he falls in love and wants a girl like this to be his life partner… As he gets to know Sarika as a person he loves her all the more and takes it upon himself to stand by Sarika at every step of life… However Jai gets terribly nervous whenever he goes in front of Sarika… every time he goes thinking that I will say this and that, she only ends up doing all the talking and he iust looks at her and smiles and comes back all the more in love with her. So to stand by Sarika he needs Sapna’s help at home and Moksh’s help in college… so whatever Jai does for Sarika is through his younger sister Sapna at home and through Sarika’s school friend Moksh in college… so Sarika always thinks that its Sapna and Moksh who are her biggest supporters, never knowing that its actually Jai who is doing everything through them.

Santosh is Jay’s mother who is a traditional Marwari housewife who loves to follow tradition. For her, everything is in black and white and there is no scope for gray, According her the man is the one who brings money and the woman is the one who takes care of the house. And these roles can never be exchanged .She is someone who sticks by her principles and does not appreciate any kind of change in them. Convincing her is not very easy.At the same time she is a mother of two and believes that the her principles and upbringing will safeguard her children and her family.
