With the baby boom in Bollywood at its peak, we asked the readers of ApunKaChoice to pick their favourite name for the celebrity baby. Not to our surprise Aishwarya Rai’s daughter Aaradhya topped the poll.

There is a lot in a name. Not just the parents, but even the fans put a lot of stock in the name celebrities choose for their newborns. And we don’t need to tell you the Bollywood actresses who have given birth in the last few months, but rather thought of asking you to pick the best star-baby name in our new poll.

The options in the poll included some obvious names: Aishwarya Rai’s daughter Aaradhya, Shilpa Shetty’s son Viaan, Aamir Khan’s newborn Azad, Lara Dutta’s daughter Saira and, of course, Celina Jaitley’s twins Winston and Viraaj.

Of the 1084 votes we got, 40 percent chose Aaradhya Bachchan (meaning the worshiped one) as their favourite name.

Need we mention that the seven-month-old Aaradhya’s name wasn’t revealed to the world even months after her birth in November last year. In fact, the name was leaked to the media via sources close to the Bachchan family and a rather reluctant confirmation came from Amitabh Bachchan much later.

Presently, Aaradhya is enjoying all the media attention even though mom Aishwarya Rai has made sure to hide the baby’s face from the paparazzi.
