Status: Under Production, 14 reels complete
Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Amrita Rao, Kay Kay
Expected Release Date: 14th May 2004
Tidbits: : Amitabh plays a prisoner of war in Pakistan. A portion of the film was shot in the fort (half-an-hour drive from Varanasi), which was suggested by Big B himself. The fort is supposedly located in Karachi in the film. Also belly dancers were flown in from Brazil and Bellorussia [Eastern Europe] for a raunchy number picturised on Sanjay Dutt in a cave. The first schedule was held at Deolali station and a train was also booked for the same.
The launch of this flick was different in the sense that there was no coconut breaking ritual or sounding the clapperboard ceremony. Instead, the lead men – the Big B, Sanju and Akshaye – unveiled their giant-sized pictures and thereafter, clicked the remote for the screening of the one-minute promo. The event was held on Thursday, February 27 at Taj Lands End, Bandra.
March 14 will see Gaurang celebrate three occasions – The music launch of the film, the promo launch on television channels and his birthday.

Hum Kaun Hai
Producer/Banner: Soni Juneja
Director: Ravi Shankar Sharma
Status: Post-Production
Cast: Dimple Kapadia, Moushmi Chatterjee, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra (sp. appearance)
Expected Release Date: May 2004
Tidbits: : This film brings back the dynamic duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra onscreen after a hiatus of 23 long years. And though the star-pair will just appear in guest roles (the film is centered at Kapadia), expectations would be rife from this film considering all their previous films – Sholay, Chupke Chupke and Ram Balram were jubilee hits.
Amitabh and Dharmendra play close friends who are confused with some mystery in their lives in this horror-suspense supernatural thriller. The film is being shot both in Hindi and Bengali versions simultaneously.

Music: Mychael Danna (background score)
Status: Under Production
Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Rani Mukherji, Nandana Sen, Vijay Crishna and Shernaz Patel

Tidbits: Big B plays a teacher to Rani Mukherjee's deaf-blind character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film. The first schedule of this movie was recently completed in Shimla. The movie is being simultaneously shot in Hindi and English. It is learnt that Amitabh even learnt sign language for the blind to be able to do the role more efficiently. Gossip mongers had earlier been spreading malicious rumours that Big B had issued an ultimatum to Sanjay Bhansali that the maker either cast him or Kareena Kapoor in his project.
Just recently on February 18, 2004 an unfortunate incident occurred whereby a fire broke out on the sets of Black. The fire reportedly caused a damage of around six crores. Fortunately there were no casualties and the set was insured. The buzz is that the release of the film (expected in July) will now be delayed for the massive set will take about a month or more to be restored.
